Midwest Cloud Computing was founded in 2010 by Raymond “Jay” Garren. Jay had reached the pinnacle of technology careers, the title of CIO (Chief Information Officer) at several companies here in Omaha and Lincoln over his 37 years spent in technology.

As a CIO for these companies, he had noticed that most technology vendors were lacking in some key areas he thought were important.

At the same time, his friends and colleagues were always asking him to help on this project or that project. Jay would help them complete the project and would usually receive a pitcher of beer, or if he was real lucky, a steak sandwich for helping them out. This was great, but between his full time job and his family, he was getting stretched a little thin.

He was pondering those two thoughts one day and decided there was a solution to both problems. That solution’s name became Midwest Cloud Computing.

Position Overview

We’re seeking an energetic, self-motivated Territory Manager with a proven background in B2B sales to join our growing team. The ideal candidate thrives in a competitive environment, loves the hunt, and takes full ownership of the sales cycle—from prospecting to close. This role is best suited for someone who enjoys building relationships, uncovering business pain points, and presenting technology-driven solutions that deliver measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and identify new business opportunities within the SMB and mid-market segments.
  • Set and manage your own appointments—no hand-holding.
  • Conduct discovery meetings, deliver proposals, and close deals.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and consistently exceed activity goals.
  • Collaborate with technical and leadership teams to ensure successful onboarding of new clients.
  • Represent MCC professionally at networking events, trade shows, and local business gatherings.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of B2B sales experience (technology industry experience strongly preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to self-generate leads and manage a full sales cycle.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with CRM systems and modern sales tools.
  • Driven, competitive, and goal-oriented personality—comfortable making high volumes of outreach.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a high-performance sales culture.
